Guide 1 The Easy Way (Automated installer)

For those who don't know much about computers or lazy people.

Alternative 1: Installing the game with FullRA+

1. Download FullRA+ installer; click here.
   Save to a place where you will remember it, like your desktop
2. Double click on the file and follow the instuctions on screen, also take note of the options it gives you.

Where are the videos?
The RA Soviet accent is so awesome!

Sorry, you cannot see the videos using FullRA+, you must use the RA Setup Manager or the hard way to see the videos

Alternative 2: Installing the game using Red Alert Setup Manager v0.98

1. Download Red Alert Setup Manager v0.98
2. Put your disk in the drive
3. Extract it anywhere
4. Run RASETUP.exe
5. Check Install Red Alert from CD's
6. Check Apply 3.03 patch
7. Check to install WOL API (Warning: DO NOT do this if you got either Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, Emperor Battle for Dune or Renegade installed! It may break online play for these games)
8. (Optional) Check Remove CD protection (Warning: This will not allow you to see the videos in the campaign)
9. (Optional) Check Install Music (This is usefull only if you remove CD protection)
10. Click apply

The Hard Way

For those who like the complicated way

Installing the game

1. Insert the disk in to your CD-ROM drive or mount the iso in a program like Daemon tools.
2. When the launcher comes up (if it doesn’t, go to my computer and right click on your CD drive and click on explore.) click on
   "explore the CD" on the launcher
   .
3. You will now see a Windows Explorer window showing the contents of the disk.
   Open the folder SETUP95, when you are in the folder find SETUP.EXE. Right click it and go to properties then click on the compatibility mode tab.
   
4. Check the "Run in compatibility mode for" box
5. Choose Windows 95 from the dropdown menu.
6. Click on ok
   
7. Now, double click SETUP.EXE to run the installation.
   
8. Follow the instructions on screen.
9. Now you are done!

Installing the Expansions (works for both Aftermath and CounterStrike)

There is nothing special involved in installing the expansions; If they say the program is only for Windows 95 go to the CD and set compatibility mode for INSTALL.EXE to Windows 95.

1. Install CounterStrike
2. Install Aftermath
3. Patch the game.

Patching the game (getting it to work properly)

1. Download the Red Alert 3.03 patch and install it.
2. Put compatibility mode on RA95.EXE to Windows 95 (If you use Vista or 7 put it on Win98)
3. You are done! Start the game!
